Grand Rapids, Mich., May 5, 2026—The SOURCE is pleased to welcome the West Michigan Teacher Collaborative (WMTC) to its employer network, bringing the total number of companies in the network to 25.

“We are thrilled to welcome the West Michigan Teacher Collaborative to our network, and we are proud to play a role in preparing the next generation of teachers to lead classrooms and positively impact our communities,” said Joyce Rohrer, The SOURCE’s Senior Director for the West Region. “WMTC shares our commitment to helping people thrive by providing holistic support. We couldn’t ask for a partner more aligned to our vision and values. This partnership is also an exciting next step for The SOURCE’s growth and impact, with WMTC being the first professional collaborative to join our network.”

The SOURCE was founded 20 years ago by a consortium of southwest Grand Rapids employers who came together to better support their employees. The organization has since grown to serve more than 1,000 people annually across the state, with regional operating hubs in West and Southeast Michigan.

“We are thrilled to partner with The SOURCE and join a network that truly prioritizes supporting people holistically,” said Mary Kay Murphy, Executive Director of the West Michigan Teacher Collaborative.

“Our members are balancing so much: working full-time, raising families, and pursuing their bachelor’s degrees, teaching certifications, or additional endorsements. This partnership helps us bridge real-life barriers so our members can stay focused on what matters most—being strong advocates for the students and communities they serve.”
